Halloween 2021

Such a fun Halloween celebration. Maggie and Jack were excited to carve pumpkins. Jack loved the Halloween decorations, so we scouted out the neighborhood the day before and picked the best house to trick or treat at. Luke was a plague doctor; the costume was HOT, so he bowed out from trick or treating after an hour or so. Jack went strong into the night and canvased a huge swath of the neighborhood. Somehow, Maggie got more candy though than him. Our littlest nugget, our avocado, didn’t make it out to trick or treat. She stayed at home on the front porch to hand out candy … and nap.

O Brothers, My Brothers, Where Have You Been?!

October 2021

It has been three years since we were last in the same room together. All three of us that is. I’ve seen Bobby once or twice a year. And seen George here and there. But never together. So it was great for the three of us to get together with our families.

Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop to take a look around once in a while, you might miss it.

October 2018

This photo of us was taken at George’s, three years ago. I guess, at 41 years old, this photo was the first time that I realized I was actually shorter than my brothers. How freaking strange that I never realized this!!

There is nothing like family. I hope that my children grow up and stay close to each other. My brothers and I may not agree on everything. In fact, on many things we disagree. But we love each other. And we help each other when we need it. And it gives me such comfort to have these great men in my life. I admire them both. They have forged their own paths in life. And they are respected. And they have worked hard. And they are great dads.

What Up, Cuz?

Brody was born in February. But, because of Covid and the fact that Bobby lives in New York, we had not met him yet. Until now. Bobby came in town for a Ravens game. And we all met up at the grandparents’ place. All of the cousins enjoyed getting acquainted. Lila got to meet Uncle Bobby and Aunt KC. And Brody got to meet all of his cousins and aunt and uncle. It was pretty special. Brody was so inquisitive.

Brody is mobile! Lila not yet so

Noah’s lax fans

Noah had a lax game last night. His grandparents came out to watch him play. Before his stroke, Noah’s grandfather, Pop Pop, coached him in lacrosse for several years. And since his stroke three years ago, it has been rare that he has been out to watch any of the kids play sports, where he was super engaged with them all before. Last night, he was very excited to watch Noah play, and was thrilled afterwards at how well the team did and how well Noah did. Noah scored two goals.

As always, baby sis was out smiling and watching her big bro play lacrosse. It was cold, but Lila bundled up and watched the whole game with mom.

Maggie – Beth Tfiloh meet

Maggie ran her 3rd cross country race yesterday. She finished 5th overall and was again the first female finisher. She finished in 15:17. Her coach told her to start slow and work people on the hills. His plan worked, and she did very well. She passed people on the hills, and found herself quickly up at the front group. She came into the finish in 5th place, about a minute behind the top runner, and 30 seconds from the 2nd runner. Her times have so far improved in every meet so far.
